Stress at Work
Now, I am going to discuss stress and its impact on the working process of our company. I am convinced that it affects both our productivity and the working environment. I strongly believe that by raising this issue, we will be able to boost our general performance and avoid conflicts and negative emotions that stress may inflict.
At times, we find ourselves in stressful situations which may occur due to many factors. They can be linked to personal problems, social conflicts, and working conditions that altogether affect our psyche and make us irritable and apprehensive. According to statistics, stress is one of the most frequent problems that arise in the workplace.
For this reason, we should pay special attention to this challenge with the aim of keeping us away from its negative influence.
Being able to cope with stress is one of the most basic approaches to each employer should be aware of. To achieve this, we need to establish the main triggers of stress in our day-to-day life. However, the causes of stress are not always obvious although they clearly correlate with our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. From this, we can conclude that when getting uneasy about the burning deadlines we have, the real cause may lie in our procrastination, rather than job demands.
To inoculate ourselves against an undesired reaction when the next stressful situation appears on the horizon, we need to pay special attention to our personal habits, attitudes, and excuses. Being candid with ourselves is the most effective way to establish the triggers of stress we experience.
But other from that, it means that we need to perceive stress as an indispensable part of both our personal and professional life. As a rule, when being overcome with stress, people start shaking off its negative effect by pinning blame on other people and other events which make the outcomes of stress even more devastating.
In order to eliminate this issue, we should focus on what causes stress in our company in particular. Undoubtedly, we can identify the causes of this issue by resorting to the information about stress and its outcomes based on the experience of other companies. At the same time, analyzing our own performance will help us to obtain better results. Thus, at the end of our meeting, I will give out the surveys to collect the exact information about stressful situations which occur within our company. The survey itself consists of twenty-five questions that will surely enable us to analyze the main factors causing stress in the workplace. Additionally, we are intent on thinking up a plan for stress management that will help us to reduce the negative effects of stress on our general performance.
The subject in question will be also discussed at our next meeting.
